Cardinal Aligned Investing Initiative,
or CAII for short, is a Stanford University student-founded education initiative founded that focuses on providing free curriculum on Values-Aligned Investing, a framework that empowers investors to both improve their returns and incorporate their own ethical beliefs into their investments.
❌ ESG and Impact Investing have failed to incorporate a variety worldviews when thinking about how to invest for both financial social returns
❌ Students are not being taught correctly how to think about the impact of their investments beyond just financial returns; a lack of resources on how to do so is hurting the 600+ student-run investment funds that exist in just the United States alone
❌ People wrongly believe financial returns are mutually exclusive; Discontent with ESG has led to people compromising their worldviews for profits alone
