Aligning Capital With Values.
Cardinal Aligned Investing Initiative
Cardinal Aligned Investing Initiative,
or CAII for short, is a Stanford University student-founded education initiative founded that focuses on providing free curriculum on Values-Aligned Investing, a framework that empowers investors to both improve their returns and incorporate their own ethical beliefs into their investments.
β ESG and Impact Investing have failed to incorporate a variety worldviews when thinking about how to invest for both financial social returns
β Students are not being taught correctly how to think about the impact of their investments beyond just financial returns; a lack of resources on how to do so is hurting the 600+ student-run investment funds that exist in just the United States alone
β People wrongly believe financial returns are mutually exclusive; Discontent with ESG has led to people compromising their worldviews for profits alone
Impact Is For Everyone.
CAII provides free, open-source educational resources primarily for students, along with professionals, interested in learning how to invest for both better returns and also to shape the world they want through Values-Aligned Investing (V.A.I.):
π‘ Values-Based Investing (VAI) β VAI helps selects investments that align with any set of core values, ensuring both financial and social returns are prioritized.
π Proven Returns, Proven Impact β Research shows that aligning values with your investments does not hurt financial returns, but actually improves them
π₯ Cardinal Aligned-Investing Initiative β CAII provides one of the only comprehensive frameworks for engaging with Values-Aligned Investing and is specifically built for students!
